Stationary Section above Blog entries

  • I’ve tried searching for where to put this code in or how to resolve it but i’m not sure what to search for. What I would like to do is put a small html section above the blog entries on my site that always stays at the top and has a message for my website viewers. if anyone could please explain or point me in the direction of a tutorial on how to do this i would be very appreciative. thanks in advance.

  • 1. What’s with that wrong link in your profile that doesn’t work and displays a stupid message?
    2. It all depends on the theme you are using (that’s why I clicked on the link!)
    3. Basically you can put it anywhere – before the Loop.

    that was just a little joke i had with a buddy, i’ve changed it now to where i have wp installed, or you can just go here..


    I’m using the connections-reloaded theme

    Find this in your header.php or index.php:
    <div id="content">
    <!--- middle (posts) column content begin -->
    <div class="post">

    and where the commented out portion is are – insert your text, eventually in its own div to be able to style it in the stylesheet.
