Static sitemap detected

    Hi ,

    I am using All in one Seo. i have just noticed the notification “Static sitemap files detected” and there is a delete button as well please let me know if i delete it does my site got any negative impact what should be my next step for this notification? your help really appreciated

    Hey @fatimaa,

    All in One SEO dynamically generates your sitemap. Static, physical files always take precedence over dynamically generated ones, so static files prevent AIOSEO from generating its sitemap.

    So, simply put, if you want to use the sitemap that AIOSEO generates (which we believe to be the best out there), then you need to delete them. I can see on your website that you are already using our dynamic sitemap now so I assume you decided to delete the static files. This definitely won’t negatively impact your site.

    Hi @arnaudbroes thanks for your quick response and help. I haven’t yet taken any action to delete. As per your info my website is using dynamic sitemap just plz confirm do i still need to delete the old file or just ignore the AIOSEO message.

    Hi @fatimaa, you do still need to delete any static sitemap files on your server because they will take precedence over the dynamic sitemap generated by AIOSEO.
