Note: I’m using the stock WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme on a fresh WP install.

Hi! Sorry to hear you’re running into issues.

When Simply Static runs, is it giving you a bunch of 404’s for the missing files (or any other status code besides a 200)? Or is it just not listing them at all?

Is there anything out of the ordinary that you can think of for your installation? Is it a multisite installation? Is your WordPress Address different from your Site Address? Are you using symlinks? Have you defined WP_CONTENT_DIR/WP_CONTENT_URL? Anything you can think of that might be different from an out-of-the-box WP install.

    Hi Scott,

    1. Is it giving you a bunch of 404’s for the missing files (or any other status code besides a 200)? Or is it just not listing them at all?

No. Downloaded from wordpress.org and installed.

    Is it a multisite installation?

    No.

Is your WordPress Address different from your Site Address?

    No.

    Are you using symlinks?

Not sure what those are, so I’m assuming no.

    Have you defined WP_CONTENT_DIR/WP_CONTENT_URL?

Here’s my permalink structure…not sure if that’s what you mean.

    I’m an idiot.

I was testing it out to be live on a subfolder and when I was choosing the destination URL, I didn’t include the subfolder.

    I was putting in:

    www.domain.com

    Should have been:

    www.domain.com/subfolder

Now that I figured it out, I’m calling it a Monday.

How can I contribute? This is an AMAZING plugin.

    Hi Tommy,

I’m glad you were able to get things working! That’s awesome. As for how you can help, I’d mention leaving a review, but you already did that 🙂 Thanks for your support!

alexhopi- Sorry you’re having issues. Could you create a new thread with a few more details about the problems you’re running into? It’d be helpful to know if Simply Static is encountering any 404’s or other errors (anything aside from 200’s). Or just email me: scott@codeofconduct.co
