static page won't save

static page won’t save in reading settings for twenty ten 1.1 theme. jumps back to blank. can’t get rid of double home/default home blog post. followed directions (creating 2 new pages, etc.), no plug-ins, cleared cache in ff. tried to access editor but got the message “Page disabled by Userthemes Management”. help please.
