• Hi all,

    That is my first day working with the WP platform.

    My new website:

    http://www.cosmogrill{dot}me

    Here is what I am trying to do:

    1. Use the Showcase templet as a clean, landing page, meaning, to remove all recent posts from it. The showcase templet seem to be the most suitable to this purpose in terms of design, and I made the home page as a static page using it.

    2. Use a page (“posts”) to host all the recent posts that I am writing.

    I have no clue how to do that, but so far I have created a child theme (although I am not sure how to edit it). I also downloaded firefox with Firebug.

    Best.

  • You have a strange way of handling your CSS, it is almost as if you have a nested child theme going on.

    Your style.css shows it is using a Twenty Eleven as the template, but then the first thing you have in your CSS is:

    @import url("../hum/style.css");

    And that is also a child theme? If both are based on the same parent (Twenty Twenty) you are probably better off directly editing the “hum” theme, ie., name it ” Clean Landing”, stick it in a new directory, and CREDIT the author, then go for it.

    I am working on same issue I have created a child theme which will show static page with some post form a selective category and upper part will show static content here is link for it you like it than i can share how i have implemented it. It is still in development i am adding more features to my home page.

    please start your own topic – you don’t have the same problem because you are using a different theme.
