Static Page Mini-Loop ‘Date Sort’ needed

  • My list of recent posts includes future posts waiting for their date and time; of course, blog page does not show these future posts yet.

    I’m using the Permalink mini-loop from http://codex.wordpress.org/index.php?title=Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

    I’ve added ‘post_excerpt’ to the code. Static Page:
    The first 3 entries on home page are not yet posted to the blog (as of 1/23/2006, 12:00pm):

    I’m a pathetic hack at best. Can someone help with the php code to select the static page list based on current server date and time, compared to the post date and time? (I think the correct field is “wp_posts/post_date_gmt”. Need to verify.)

    The codex entry for this also needs to be updated (IMHO). I’ll be glad to do that when ready. Thanks very much for your help.
