Static Page -changing home page

Hi ok so this is my first site and what happened is I built every page with text pictures videos etc.Then i realized AFTER everything was done and published.My front page is still set up like a blog which I don’t want.
Now from my dashboard it only shows 4 pages published when there is actually 5 meaning my home page.Now the problem is doing my SEO for my front page.
So the question is do i really have to create a new page just to make my front page static.
I did lots of looking around before coming here.It looks like its the only option.Assuming i have to replace the header footer logo etc.what is my best bet.
