# static page

 * I know how to make the front page static but can I make more pages static? As
   it looks to me, only the front one can look like a plain site?
    Thanks for any
   help.

 * Any wp Page is static in the sense that the copy on it usually stays the same
   and is not created dynamically like the posts page.
 * You can create new pages, add html or whatever and navigate to them thru a menu
   on your static front page.

 * I had it so that the front page doesnt have the post and now no matter what I
   do it has leave a reply at the bottom!!!! GRRRRRRRR

 * comments can be switched off for individual pages for instance under
    _**dashboard–
   pages – all pages**_ – **quick-edit **below the page title in the list – untick_‘
   allow comments’_

 * Did that, thank you. I still have half that still have recent posts on the page.
   I double checked that I unchecked. Ugh, this is so frustrating.

 * Just the 2011. I deleted all the pages but one. and started over. I am so new
   at this, that I hadnt even put much on any of them yet. Thanks again.
