• Hi

I have a static homepage set up on my site at the moment, and want to have my blogposts listed on another page. How do I set this up?

  • I don’t use a site with a static homepage, so I’m just thinking out loud here…there may be a better/easier way to do this but….

If you click on a category, of course, you will only see posts in that category…like below:

    http://educhalk.org/blog/?cat=4

But, it seems if you change the cat number at the end of the url to all, then you see all your posts like you would if you were viewing WP normally…like this:

    http://educhalk.org/blog/?cat=all

So, you could add that link in another page or hardcode it into the theme so it shows along with your page links.

makes sense to me, will give it a go

I can’t seem to get my site to show all categories by changing the url

Hummm…don’t know…like I said, I was thinking out loud and it seems to work on mine…maybe setting a static front page impacts this somehow or maybe my theme allows it. Can you post a link to your site?

    Login > Dashboard > Settings > Reading >

    (Tick boxes available)

*Select what your front page displays (latest posts or a static page)

*Select which page you want to be your posts page.

    Hey Clayton

Can you look at http://www.minimizewrinkles.com/blog/ and see how I’ve done what you said above, but the latest blog post is not displaying?

See the posts are all going to category and archive, but not displaying as normal — latest at the top of the page.

    Any ideas mate?

    Cheers
