Hello,
Did you look in Appearance > Widgets in the WordPress admin area? There should be a “Recent Posts” widget you can drag over to your sidebar.
What theme are you using?

Hi I have tried that and it wont work I want my home page to be static and have recent post widget link to other pages but the widget is not showing up..
Do other widgets show for your home page?
Is your static home page using a certain page template?
It is possible the template used for your static home page does not show any sidebars, or at least not the sidebar you are after.
