Static home page pulling recent blog posts under footer

Hi,

I’m trying to set my homepage to static, but for some reason, it’s still pulling the most recent blog post and showing it under the footer.

My reading settings are:

Front page displays: A static page
Front page: Home Content
Posts page: Current Events
Blog pages show at most: 10 posts
Syndication feeds show the most recent: 10 items
For each article in a feed, show Full text

I’ve also tried clearing my cache in WP and my browser.

I can’t figure out what could possibly be causing this. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
