• Hi Guys,

Since I have searched in many forums and tried different phrases on google and couldn’t find a thread I ended up trying a new one here in the community.

    Problem

I have a website that is static and is placed on the root of the server. Considering blog applications we decided it was time to create a blog with wordpress. We installed it with the automatic installer from the host in a subdirectory /blog1/ . The thing is we can’t make the blog and now the website indexable by google.

    Questions

Where do I place sitemaps? Should I have 2 sitemaps, one for the root static pages and one for the blog?

Do I need to submit the directory /blog1/ to Google Webmaster Tools to get it indexed?

Where do I make redirection of non-www to www in wordpress? I have already done it in the root folder with a htacess but couldn’t make it work with wordpress. It is forcing non-www to /blog1/ but the static page redirects all to www

    Really thanks for your help!
