I have static front page, using sections. When clicking the menu item to go to a page section, the sidebar does not appear; when viewing the page directly, the sidebar does appear.

I thought I read somewhere that could be changed via content aware, but I cannot find it.

    Thanks

Are you using the TwentySeventeen theme? I am not completely sure what you mean about “sections” otherwise.

If so, you can download and install the tiny plugin “Page Sidebar for Twenty Seventeen” here: https://github.com/intoxstudio/twentyseventeen-page-sidebar/archive/front-page.zip

Then you can use Content Aware Sidebars to add a sidebar specifically for the front page. However, it will unfortunately not work with “sections” (if I am understanding you correctly).

Thanks Joachim. I am using twenty seventeen. In the theme customize is where it refers to page sections. I am also using the Page Sidebar and Content Aware. So, I switched away from using sections in order to get the sidebar on the pages.

I thought I’d read someplace how to get the sidebar with the sections, but I must have been wrong.

Thanks for clarifying this for me.
