    Hi there,

I recently upgraded and I’m starting a new website – I’m pretty used to WP and have used it for some time. I wanted to create a static front page, I’ve done it before so I went into “Reading” inside “Settings” and tried to do so – but no matter where I looked I couldn’t find the static front page option.

I thought maybe it had been removed, so I looked around codex and found this article:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_Reading_SubPanel

Which confirms that it is possible to do – but all I see is everything from

    “Blog pages show at most”

    Nothing above that.

    Any ideas?

Do you, actually, have any Pages created in that blog?
If no Pages – no option: there is nothing to select.

Aaaaaah geez. I feel extremely idiotic – thank you!
