static front page/ hiding home link

Hello!

I am currently developing a new theme and have set up a static home page. The problem is that the “home” link still appears in my navigation. I want that to be hidden and just have the title of my website link back to the home page (which it currently does).

I just need some help figure out how to remove that single home link from my nav. I have done some reading and people keep talking about using the nav menu panel but i dont know or have that set up.

Is there some code i can just add in my header to remove the home link?
