[resolved] Static Front Page 404 Error (5 posts)

    Hello Everyone,

I am working with the Simplicity Theme (http://www.solostream.com/2007/06/17/wordpress-blog-theme-simplicity-10-widgets/) and am trying to use the static front page option.

I have read a bunch of tutorials and looked all over but cannot correct my error: I create a home page, set the reading settings, and then get a 404 and the home page won't ever show up.

As far as I can tell, it has to do with the links in the nav because the "Home" button is linking to my root, but I think my home page is located at /home.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

Alex, what's your .htaccess look like?

I'm new to WP and am very, very surprised at how many questions are on these forums ... with so few answers. Don't WP hacker/developer types ever read the forums?

I think the questions un-answered is due to volume of questions and the nature of the question.

Most of the questions here can be answered by referring to the documentation, but alot of users seem to ask, then read.

I'd imagine this question can be answered by checking the Docs to...

Not read the page, but see if anything there helps..

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the help..I actually figured out that it was being caused by my "redirection" plugin so I just disabled that and it worked perfectly.
