Hi, I'm not sure if anyone can help with my situation but if so that would be great. I have a pretty good understanding on how to make a static html site into a wordpress site, maybe this sounds more like advice but I have a client who is stuck on his ISP (internet service provider) until the end of November and he owns his own website, url, hosting service. I'm going to incorporate his old site into a cms site using wordpress. This part I can do. Should I start up a sub directory of his website and work on it now or should I just wait until client's contract is up with his hosting service and start fresh with host gator? Hopefully that makes sense. Or is this a simple move where I can just change nameservers? maybe I just confused myself.

Build the site on a local server, and upload it to the new host.

I would browse the forums before committing to a host, and consider using one of these.
