Star ratings not working

    The star rating on the recipe card is completely unresponsive. The plugin is fully updated. How do I fix this?

    Hello,

    In order for ratings to work you need to use the WordPress ratings and comments feature. It appears like you use a comments plugin which is not compatible. All recipe plugins require that WP comments is used for their ratings feature to work as well.

    We’ve commented on this issue a few times in the past if you wish to see more details. The gist is all recipe plugins require you use WP comments/ratings and not a plugin for this.

    I am not using a comment plugin. It is the comment structure that came with my theme. I searched the forum for answers to this question before I commented, but nothing came up. If you answered this more thoroughly somewhere else, could you please post the link to that thread?

    I see in your comments section says: “This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how your comment data is processed”. I suspect that Askimet is blocking our ratings feature.

    All recipe plugins are only compatible with WordPress comments. This is so Google can trust that people leaving comments/ratings are real people etc.

    Your theme developer should be able to assist you in installing the compatible comments.
