When a user reviews any product the stars record incorrectly.
If I select 5 stars it shows 1 in the backend. If I select 4 it shows 2 on the backend.
    It is backwards.
I have turned it off with css (display:none;) for now.
Do you know how to fix this backwards displaying stars?
    Thanks,
    Leslie

  • Hi, leslielothamer, I’m another WooCommerce user.

Please try using the “Health Check” plugin to diagnose the issue: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/.

In the troubleshooting tab, you can disable all plugins and have the theme changed while logged in; visitors will see the website as if the plugin(s) and/or theme wasn’t changed.

Please try deactivating plugins (besides WooCommerce) to determine if plugin(s) and/or theme(s) are causing your issue.

You can also troubleshoot by examining the error logs, as described in the WooCommerce documentation: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/finding-php-error-logs/

How long have you experienced this issue? Did it start seemingly randomly?

    Hello @leslielothamer

Thanks for you message! Sorry to read this is occurring with your product reviews.

It does sound as a conflict in the site. The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. Finally, test to see if the issue is resolved by checking your product reviews

To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, continue to the next step – reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

Here’s a more extensive explanation in our docs: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    Tools to help you troubleshoot:

Meks Quick Plugin Disabler is a plugin you can install which will remember what plugins you currently have active so it’s easy to switch them back on.

As @plantprogrammer has so kindly advised you can also use
Health Check , it can be useful for debugging certain types of issues and requires an official default WordPress theme such as Twenty Seventeen.

You can clone your site to a staging environment and perform tests without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.
