Hi Nat, now that I have looked into this – it appears that Google does not support this version of Portuguese language. Look here, it’s not even on Google’s web page for loading up the translator: http://translate.google.com/manager/website/suggestions

Let me know if I’m mistaken.

However, I went ahead and added “Portuguese” to the “Original Language” option in the translator. I’m going to update with those changes today.

    Stay tuned for version 2.2.

    Thanks, Rob

Hi David….I think you are assuming that “Original Language” is supposed to auto-translate your site from the beginning.

The only thing that Original Language does in the translator is remove that language from the drop-down menu – so if your page is in English, then it’s not going to translate your site as Portuguese from the beginning.

Does that make sense? I can double-check this for you.

And thanks so much for the donation – that was extremely awesome. I’m going to continue making updates as much as I can.

You will notice that from the beginning you will not see Portuguese in the menu, then once you switch to another language other than Portuguese, the Portuguese menu item will then re-appear in the menu.

That is the function of “Original Language”.
