Stall, Delay Every 10 seconds

    I assume it’s auto-saving or something, but when I’m writing something in wordpress it’s UNBEARABLY infuriating. It freezes for about 1.5 seconds every 10 seconds. So I see the queue of letters freeze or a menu I click freezes for about 1-2 seconds every 10 seconds. It makes having any flow writing or coding anything impossible and is one of those seemingly trivial problems that’s actually pretty enormous . I don’t know what’s causing it.

    anyway to turn off autosaves or stop that sputtering?

    That doesn’t sound normal. It’s possible that a plugin could be conflicting or at least using so many resources as to make auto-save the “tipping point.” Try decativating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
