Staging web on separate database

    Hi

    is it possible with free or pro version to create a staging website, that is connected to a completely separate database, which is not linked to the original live website?

    Reason is, that I need to create an updated version of the old website and the old database is full of outdated or faulty entries.

    Would it be possible like that to create a “new updated website” that would be than pushed to the live environment including the new database, so that the old one would be completely erased somehow?

    Thanks for asking this question!

    Cloning to a separate database is a WP Staging Pro feature, however, what you need to achieve can be done with the free version as well.

    When WP Staging clones your live site to a staging site on the same database, all the data are inserted into new database tables separated from your live site’s tables, but on the same database.
