Support » Plugin: StageShow » StageShowGold – update error and license question

  • Resolved doodaf

I’ve had problems updating to the 6.6.6 version of StageShowGold (from 6.4) via the WordPress dashboard. I get the error message: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature. Could you advise how to resolve this? I’ve googled it and seen that in some other cases it’s a problem with lack of memory on the server but I’m sure that’s not the case in this instance.

I also wanted to find out if the license for StageShowGold is per site or per developer. There’s nothing on the CoronDeck site about StageShow at the moment as far as I can see. I bought it and used it one one site and have now installed it on another, and want to know if it’s OK to use the same license for both or if it needs a separate license. Could you let me know – and also let me know how I can buy it as it’s not on the CoronDeck site.

    Many thanks

The PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT error is usually generated if the zip file is missing. I’ve checked it and it is OK, so this could be something specific to your site. I’ll be updating to 7.0 very soon, so please try again then.

I’ve generally considered that the license is per developer, but if you are “selling on” I would hope to get a slice of the action!
