# SSL Required?

 * Hey there!
 * I did a brief search through the topics and didn’t see “SSL” anywhere.
 * After a purchase completes and PayPal goes to send the buyer back to the website,
   the browser gives a security warning (most likely a result of going from HTTPS
   to HTTP).
 * Is there no way to resolve this, other than getting an SSL certificate for the
   website?

 * When using PayPal Standard, SSL is not required, but SSL is always recommended
   for all e-Commerce stores, regardless of the payment method used.
 * Enabling SSL on your checkout and receipt pages will resolve the browser warning
   you’re seeing.

 * Yes, you will have to get an SSL certificate to remove that.
