 * Then you didn’t edit the right file. There should be a file named “.htaccess”
   in the root of your site. That’s the directory that also has wp-config.php.

 * yes you are right that was the root .htaccess of hosting company provided.
    now
   it is working fine thank u for your highly helpful time
