• Well, GoDaddy swears up and down that the SSL certificate is installed and working on our account – however we get really strange results (and not in a good way!) when trying to use Paid Memberships Pro. With Chrome it’s a SSL connection error (Error code: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR), with Mozilla we see (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long) and IE doesn’t even bother to see/hit the secure server (URL is just HTTP instead of HTTPS) after hitting “Select” for one/any of the membership types (http://www.glaaacc.org/membership/membership-types/)

Any and all help is MUCH appreciated – been beating my head against a wall for days now and everyone points their fingers at someone else. (Nah-that never happens 🙂

Do you get the errors when visiting https://www.glaaacc.org/ even if PMPro is deactivated? Then it’s an issue with the SSL installation (looks like that to me right now).

Get your homepage showing up over SSL with PMPRo deactivated (and other plugins too) first and then work on getting PMPro setup to use SSL too.

Here is our documentation for members on troubleshooting SSL issues (http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/2013/08/debugging-httpsssl-issues/). If you sign up for our $97 package, we will help you get PMPro playing nicely with your HTTPS setup (sometimes there are theme or plugin conflicts that we can’t account for in general), but this does seem like an issue with the actual installation of the SSL cert at the host.
