# SSL after initial install?

 * Hi – I’m having a bit of a struggle to get WordPress to run in https.
 * About my environment. I am installing on a Ubuntu web server that is running 
   apache2. It only runs a plain http listener.
 * In front of that web server is a Netscaler load balancer. It already has the 
   ssl certificate (and CA files) installed on it. So I want the Netscaler to do
   ssl offload.
 * I can’t seem to get WordPress to go along with this idea. Is there a plugin to
   support SSL that would work in a situation like this? I’ve tried Really Simple
   SSL and it looked like it was trying to find the cert on my web server. It won’t
   live there, in my case it’s on a load balancer. Really Simple SSL turned my fresh
   install into a broken 301 loop once I tried to access wp-admin as well.
 * What would be the best way to proceed with such an install? It seems no matter
   what I do, when I tell WordPress its Site and WordPress URLs are https, I’m in
   a 301 loop that is impossible to get out of.
