SS_WC_MailChimp_Handler::subscribe Error message

    Hello,
    this is the first time we receive an error message:
    SS_WC_MailChimp_Handler::subscribe(): WooCommerce MailChimp subscription failed: xxxxxxx@yahoo.co.jp is in a compliance state due to unsubscribe, bounce, or compliance review and cannot be subscribed. (ss-wc-mc-api-request-error)

    This appeared after an existing client placed an order. We use WooCommerce MailChimp to give clients the opportunity to subscribe to the newsletter.

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    Please note that the error/warning is from another plugin “WooCommerce MailChimp” and not ours “MailChimp for WordPress”. I would suggest contacting the developers of the other plugin for more information.
