 * I tried to install wordpress with DB version 4.0.x. It did not work.
    Then asked
   my hosting provider to upgrate to higher version, which they did 5.0x). I tried
   to run install.php, but still I get the same old message on the install browser
   url – [http://www.myhostname.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php](http://www.myhostname.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php).
 * “Insufficient Requirements
    You cannot install because WordPress 2.9.2 requires
   MySQL version 4.1.2 or higher. You are running version 4.0.27.”
 * Hase someone idea, how to fix it?
 * Kind regards,
    EW

 * You need to ask your host to upgrade to a newer version of MySQL, or find a host
   that offers more recent server software.
