• Hi Andrew Nevins, or whoever may answer this.

I really appreciate your help. Thanks.

I’m trying to get a few posts to stay on the homepage. About 6 different circles. So I can use my website as a portfolio and each circle has a different section of my information. Resume, samples, etc. I can’t seem to get the circles to post unless I put them as posts, and when I do that, it only shows one circle at a time and I have to scroll to the right to see the other posts.

I saw the template about child themes, but I don’t know how to do that since I am just accessing wordpress through the browser on mac, not the WP program. Do I have to do a child theme to be able to do this?

I want to be able to put 6, or so circles as a set homepage view.

    Thanks,

    Jake.

    Sorry, this needs clarification.

Yes, I think I understand you here. This is the default behaviour of the theme. Circles are created for each post.

and when I do that, it only shows one circle at a time

I don’t understand what you mean by 1 circle at a time.

I’ve jut added another post to my page. It only shows one post circle at a time, and then there is a small grey circle that has a right pointing arrow that you have to click in order to scroll the page to see another post-circle and so on.

I’d like to have a static home page that shows 6 circles. or, however many. But be able to figure it out so I can do that. whether they are in post, page or custom circle format.

I followed the Custom Circle app tutorial posted. When I post under that, I am not sure where the custom circle posting disappears to after I publish it.

Sorry if I’m not being clear. It’s hard to describe it accurately when I’m not sure what’s happening.

Can you link to this page you’re referring to?

The post that comes up, the green circle with text that reads Testss, is the recent post.

The smaller grey circle to the top left of that is the scrolling button that scrolls to the post before.

I’d like to either have all post circles on one static page, or figure out a way to put pages that appear in circles as a static home page.

In your case do you have to set your posts as “sticky” for them to appear on the Home page (without scrolling to the left)?

Yes, that’s what I did recently to get multiple posts to appear on one page.

I think there’s a problem with the Custom Circles stuff I wrote and Sticky Circles – I’ve seen someone else experience a similar issue.

Any suggestions at the moment or should I check back another time?

I really appreciate your help. You’ve been really speedy, too!

    Thanks, again.

You can check back another time, but for now you can remove the “index.php” file from within your Child Theme and the Custom Circle code should deactivate from your website. It’ll still be in the dashboard for later.

Is this issue separate from the Custom Circles?
