(Sports) team management – leagueManager … ?

    Dear readers,
    i’m the web admin of a soccer sports club, trying to re-do our website “the right way”.

    I’m wondering if there are special plugins for wordpress, that can make that task easier. We’ve already found leagueManager, which seems to fit great to manage games and statistics in a league.

    What would be great to have is some tool to manage the team members (players, trainers, …) in some kind of “library”.
    The easiest approach would be to have pages that are assigned to a specific categories (player, trainier, manager), but maybe there is a smarter way (plugin) so they can be linked / grouped / …

    Tom, I’m looking for the same basic thing, albeit for hockey.

    My dream is a tool that allows me to input a single game’s box score (including team and player stats) — then have the tool populate relevant data on team- and player-specific pages. This may be asking too much of WP; I don’t know.

    The one thing I’ve found, along with your post, is a plugin called LeagueManager (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/leaguemanager/). No idea how it works. Have you had any luck?

    I have read that it can be done using LeagueManager and ProjectManager. But I am having problems with it.

    I cannot select a team roster in the match statistics.

    Did you guys ever find a descent solution for this ? I’m currently looking for something similar for a local Soccer team.
