I would like to be able to populate individual players’ statistics/bios for each player on the “statistics” page AND make it easily updatable. In a perfect world, I would set up a template that has a layout like this:
but which is populated from data stored in an excel spreadsheet like this:
My excel spreadsheet includes formulas, so comprehensively updating it each week only takes a few keystrokes. I can save it as csv after running the formulas.
I want to have “statistics” on my menu page, and then, when you pull down to one of the teams’ pages,I’d like that page to include a roster that further allows you to select the individual player page that populates from the excel.
Has anyone done this? Is it possible with the WP Ultimate CSV Importer plug-in? How do I make the template? do I just make the player’s stats page a a template with custom fields? If so, what does the site visitor press to populate them (back and forth arrows?, a uniform number?)
If someone has done this, I’d like to see it. I would rather not re-invent the wheel.
