    I have several mailing list.
I would like to take one of my mailing lists and SPLIT it up into regions in the US.
I have to edit a user in the list to see what region they are in in order to assign the proper regional mail list.
How can I do this easily?
It seems I have to filter to the correct list before going to a subscriber to assign to another list.
There are so many steps in doing this that it make no sense with a modern software program.

Is there a more modern way of doing this

  • Hi,

You’ll need to make multiple lists (one for each region.)

The easiest thing to do is this: export your subscribers to a CSV file. Open that file and create a new CSV file for each group of subscribers. Import each of those groups in to their own new list.

Here is a guide to importing subscribers:
    https://support.mailpoet.com/knowledgebase/importing-subscribers-with-a-csv-file/

Let me know if that makes sense!

In trying to help afarran, I noticed he didn’t actually explain his entire issue.

When you filter the list, then edit the individual subscriber and hit save, it takes you back to the entire subscriber list, not the filtered list. It “should be,” or would be helpful if it was, returning you to the filtered list. That would save the user from having to filter the list again, find the place where they left off and go through the process again.

It could be as simple as passing the filter search variable through the edit process and back when the user presses save.

    Hope that clarifies or helps.

    Hi,

Thanks for the explanation. We will definitely consider this workflow and make the next version redirect properly.

    Thanks … That’s what I did, Export/Import.
