# Split test prices

 * Is there a recommended way to split test prices with EDD?
 * I have been trying to find a way to make it work, but I keep running in to issue.
 * I use variable pricing, and I’m considering raising the price for the single 
   license. I thought about creating a higher price, and then use a shortcode to
   show price a,b,c and for others show price a,b,d in combination with something
   like Optimizely. But using a shortcode to define a list of pricing ID’s doesn’t
   seem to exist? Or is this possible with a shortcode, and did I just overlook 
   it?

 * I would recommend using variable prices for this.
 * The [purchase_link] shortcode supports a “price_id” parameter that allows you
   to display a purchase button for a specific price.

 * You can then A/B test the price by controlling which price option is shown to
   the customers.
