 * Is there any plugins or in-built way to split a post that appears on the front
   page so its smaller, but still links to the full post.

   the posts are massive on the front page so im trying to find a way to make them
   smaller.

 * Hello,
 * When editing a post, there’s a “Insert More Tag” button (next to the link / unlink
   buttons). If you insert a more tag where you’d like the post to be split, it 
   should display the shorter version on the front page, followed by a “Read more”
   or “Continue reading” link.
