Splash page and home.php

    I have a home.php page this page should be shown when you are redirected on the splash page by clicking on a button, my question now is how do I set the page-splash.php as entry page and keep the home.php still as home. Thanks in advance

    The home.php template is for showing the list of posts. That template is used for the main page by default or for the blog page is you choose one in Settings > Reading. See the Template Hierarchy.
    I used the term “main page” instead of home page, because there is only one, and that is determined by the URL you put in Settings > General for the site address. You can choose what to show there, like your splash page, but you only get one choice for that URL.
    If you want the home.php template to be used, you have to choose a page (and therefore a URL) as the Blog page.
