Spinning wheel after donation

    Hello,
    Givewp is not working for me and payments are not going through. Even test payments are not working. After you submit the payment details the spinning wheel keeps going around and around and never stops.

    The error that is coming up is a failed to load resource:
    ?payment-mode=stripe

    I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting to Stripe.

    I have set up new webhooks and connected them.

    I have done the troubleshooting as per previous similar posts and changed to a default theme with only Givewp plugin activated and the problem persists.

    I have rolled back to previous versions of your plugin and the issue is still the same.

    Would really appreciate any help that anyone could give me.

    Hi @aoife1,

    Can you attach your system info?
    Donations -> Tools -> System Info

    That will give us a broader context in order to be able to help you.

    We had some reports of connectivity issues when the site runs on PHP 8. If your server runs on PHP 8, try to downgrade to PHP 7.4 if possible.

    Next, check for any missing database tables. To do that go to Donations -> Tools -> System Info. Scroll down until you see the GiveWP Configuration section and let us know if any of the database tables listed there has a red X next to it.

    Additionally, check the server error logs for any recent Fatal errors.

    Let me know if you find a conflict with another plugin or the theme.

    Hi Rick,
    I never thought of the php version. It was PHP 8 and now I have changed it to 7.4. That has completely fixed the issue. Thanks so much for getting back to me.

    Happy to hear that. We are working to fix the incompatibilities between GiveWP and PHP 8, so for now, use 7.4 and you should be able to reach the stars with GiveWP 😉
