Just a heads up after confirming this on two sites, as wordfence is a rather popular plugin and I suspect might help others.

There appears to be a conflict between the Wordfence plugin and this signature add-on. Note I do *not* have performance caching enabled on either site in Wordfence. The signature file folder (for this plugin) was on the server, however the signature files were not being created in that folder.

After deactivating wordfence, the plugin worked fine (I have temporarly enabled a different security plugin).

Not sure if this helps in any way. I’m unfortunately not “developer” enough to sort out the cause of the issue.

  • I had the same problem! This isn’t a great fix because you lose some security but I realized that if you go to Wordfence>Firewall and change it to “Learning Mode” the forms were able to submit with the signature field.

Once in learning mode and a form submission was whitelisted, you can set the protection level back to normal. See this thread.
