    Hi there, been having an issue where sometimes the donation form button will not go through to PayPal. I have run test payments with no issue and we have donors successfully submitting, but a few other donors brought this error to our attention.

    We do not have a HTTPS/SSL and are running the latest version of Give plus the premium Recurring Payments add-on.

    I was only able to recreate this issue on my end if in an Incognito browser. In running tests, I deactivated and added back every plugin one by one, and the plugin that breaks the submit button is the Recurring Payments add-on.

    For the time being I have de-activated the add-on. Please advise how we might troubleshoot and solve this issue. Thank you.

    Hi @jdm89 – It should work fine, even with Recurring enabled. We are using the standard wp_redirect here: to send donors to PayPal and also within recurring. It should work as expected and I haven’t seen other reports of this issue. Can you do me a favor and check the logs under WP-Admin > Donations > Reports > Payment Errors? If you see any issues reported there that would be helpful.

    I went to the Logs section to look at Payment Errors and do not see anything from the last few days, which is when we were aware of the issue.

    I did reactivate the add-on and when I look at this page in a Chrome (latest version, Version 55) Incognito window, I see the spinner and it does not submit. The spinner appears and nothing happens. Perhaps you can see the issue on your end?

    Ah I should mention — I just tried it now again and if I select “Make a Monthly Contribution” the fields allowing me to set up an account appear, as they should. I am able to enter a username/pass and continue on.

    But if I do not check “Make a Monthly Contribution” the button fails. Not sure if this helps you identify if it’s a configuration issue on my end or a bug.

    Hey @jdm89 – Can you confirm you are using version 1.2.3 of Recurring? This sounds like a bug we fixed in the latest version.

    Ah. Yep. I thought I updated but it was 1.2.2. Thanks for your help, it seems to be working okay now. Will mark as resolved. 🙂
