    `Hello
I just installed a WP and then installed the real media library plugin. Wp is still in maintenance mode and is completely empty. I did a speed test on the wp-getmix page both before and after installation. A serious mistake is that it is already slowing down the website with the plugin when it does not even display any images on the page.

When you already have a lot of posts and images on the page, it degrades the speed of the page much more. I also tested this on a live website, turning off the extension.
The real media library should only load on the admin pages, and on the live page only the code needed to access the images should load.

Please check the error on their own page and correct the code so that it does not run down.

It is very missing from the plugin to be able to physically move images from, for example, uploads / 2010/04 to uploads / 2021/03 so that it also modifies the attachment of images.
I wasn’t thinking of moving logically, but physically copying / moving the uploaded images.
I like this extension because it is cultured, easy to use, but va is flawed in it.

    Hey @hobbiasztalos !

Thanks for your feedback to our plugin. Here is Matthew 😊

Are you using the PRO or Free version of the plugin?

A serious mistake is that it is already slowing down the website with the plugin when it does not even display any images on the page.

What happens if you deactivate the “Load RML on frontend” in Settings > Media?

It is very missing from the plugin to be able to physically move images from, for example, uploads / 2010/04 to uploads / 2021/03 so that it also modifies the attachment of images.

Perhaps this is interesting for you: https://devowl.io/wordpress-real-physical-media/ (or https://pe.wordpress.org/plugins/physical-custom-upload-folder/)

    Hello
    I use the free version.
I turned off the RML switch in the settings / media section and then measured the speed with the plugin turned on:
    B, 81%, 91%, 1.9s, 2ms
Then I turned off the plugin and measured again:
    B, 82%, 92%, 1.8s, 1ms

I did not change anything on the website between the two measurements. So with both RML disabled and RML enabled, the enabled plug-in slows down page loading.

Thanks for the suggestion for the real-physical-media plugin, I’ll give it a try.

Do you mean, when Real Media Library is completely disabled?

Yes there was a difference even when the plugin was disabled and even when I turned the RML switch on and off in the media settings

    Hi again @hobbiasztalos !

    Thanks for your reply.

speed with the plugin turned on:
    B, 81%, 91%, 1.9s, 2ms
Then I turned off the plugin and measured again:
    B, 82%, 92%, 1.8s, 1ms

It is a difference of 0.1s when our plugin is active, correct? Sorry, I am a bit confused and do not fully understand the differences when:

    – RML is deactivated
    – RML is active
    – RML option to load on frontend is active
    – RML option to load on frontend is deactivated

    Regards,
    Matthew

    Dear Matthias

    Thank you for your interest.

I tested the real-physical-media plugin proposal and it is very good. I’m going to buy this because I like it so much. However, I really miss that if I upload or copy an image to the wp-content / uploads / year / month directory with this extension, it is not possible to paste it into the media gallery and therefore I need to install another extension for this, for example Media Sync plugin.
It would also be very good if, for example, a selected attached image could not only be copied to another directory but also moved, for example because it was uploaded to the wrong directory. In this case, the image attachment should also be updated. This would be the real big throw away from the real-physical-media plugin because it could fix media gallery bugs.
    Please consider my development proposal.
    Thanks Kiss Winner

This is not the scope of Real Physical Media; please also check out this: https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/real-media-library-upload-files-via-ftp/

Sorry, I do not understand this correctly. Perhaps you can explain with some screenshots a short screencast video?
