# Specific Search

 * Hello friends, I need your help….
 * In WP Ver.3.0.5 I created a Portfolio page which is very similar to Gallery. 
   In WP-Admin there is a section to add posts to be displayed at the “portfolio
   page” and when clicked it opens the description page for that specific portfolio
   item.
 * There are 2 problems that I am facing right now and I have no idea how to solve
   them.
 * **PROBLEM 1:**
    All the portfolio posts are stored in WP_Posts table at the Database.
   I want them to be stored in a separate database table.
 * **PROBLEM 2:**
    I want the “Search” to be specific to Portfolio only.
 * Kindly help me solve these problems as you friends have always been of great 
   support.

 * That sounds like a theme or plugin feature. It’s certainly not part of WordPress
   core.

 * I’d suggest that you start reading up on the [Settings API](http://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_API)
   and the [Plugin API](http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API).

 * how about if i want search specific to Posts only ?
    i.e. should not search the
   contents of other pages

 * Again, this is plugin territory, so you need to look at the Plugin API
