Special Template with Special menu

Hi Guys,
I wan’t to do a site for friend who has got a very specific Idea for the design!
Please have a look at this image.

He want’s the website for his Restaurant to basicly own this minimalistic design (which is going to be the cover for his menu as well) and wants the four couloured points in the four corners to be the navigation menu! (left top “menu”, right top “contact”, buttom left “blog”, bottom right “About” for example)
Now my first Idea and properly yours as well would be flash but a flash site is out of the question since it needs to stay accesible by mobile phones!
Its not like this would be my first WordPress site but this on gives me quite a little headache and Im not even sure how to start!
Can anybody help?
