• Hi,

I recently had a Malware attack on several of my sites and I’m still trying to find the original source. (Many core and pluing files are infeted and additional files and folders added, when you try to access the site, you are forwarded to a SPAM site).

While I’m removing malware files I stumbled over the plugin “SPECIAL RECENT POSTS” and “SPECIAL RECENT POSTS PRO” (purchased).
When I try to access the owener’s/Plugin’s site, I get a warning from my security protection that the site is dangerous.
The plugin itself is no longer available and so is the other.

Do you have any furthe information on the plugin, malware or the author?

    Thank you for your help.

You probably want to contact plugins@wordpress.org to enquire why that plugin was removed. The plugin name was “special-recent-posts”.

I just want to clarify that you ought to use the email above (in my post) regarding the ‘special-recent-posts’ plugin as distributed on WordPress.org, and not commercial plugins.

I contacted the email address right after you posted it and never received an answer. 🙁
‘special recent posts’ plugin was available as a free and a commercial product. Both come from the same other and now share the same issues.
