Special price doesn’t work as scheduled

Hello,
Starting the promo sales for recent black friday, I found that the special price doesn’t work as it’s expected. The problem is absolutely the same as in this topic https://wordpress.org/support/topic/special-price-doesnt-work-as-scheduled/
1. The starting promo date was 26.11.2021 – 00:00:00 h. The regular price became slashed but the promo price stayed the same as the regular, not the promo that I wanted (when found this problem, I changed it manually for our promotion days)
2. The ending promo day was today, 28.11.2021 – 23:59:59 h. The slashed price disappeared, but instead old regular price, the promo price become the new regular one as value (once again I’ve changed it manually).Everything is up to date till today except WooCommerce. Its version is 4.7.2.
I would like to know if you found the reason for this problem because cannot find any information in the changelog.Thank you.

I’ve tested the schedule sale price on my test site which has the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and Storefront(default) theme, and I could not reproduce the same issue.
I would recommend taking a full site backup first (you can use UpdraftPlus for backups), updating WooCommerce to the latest version, and then checking if the schedule price works properly.

Unfortunately I have no luck after the update. The problem remained, recently our new promotional campaign started with exactly the same problem – the regular price is slashed and the promotional price is the same as the regular one. The discount tag is there and it’s correct. I manually updated the products, having to put one zero in the promo price to make a real difference. Just updating the product does not change anything.
Something more. The same problem appeared in another of our sites, which has a different custom theme and a different version of WC, plugins and not even version 7.4 of php.

Please give an idea of what could be causing the problem. I think there may be a problem with the cron that is responsible for these changes. Is it possible that any setting of the server has been changed by our hosting company and gives such a result?
Both sites are hosted on different accounts and on different shared servers, but in the same hosting company. Our last promotions were in the spring and then we didn’t have such a problem. I can talk to the hosting company, but I need more technical information so I can tell them as accurately as possible what they need to fix (since we haven’t changed anything in our accounts).
Don’t hesitate to give more technical details, I have knowledge and it won’t bother me. But I have to solve it as soon as possible, because one campaign ends on 31.12. and I can’t imagine working on New Year’s Eve: D

I’ve checked the cron jobs with WP Crontrol plugin. The WP cron is working properly and woocommerce_scheduled_sales is set for daily action at 00:00:00. The time zone is correct as well. No issues.
I browsed and read others topics in this support forum with the exactly same issue or part of it. But with nothing specific desribed as solution.
I feel hopeless. Help!

Have you already tried conflict testing? This is the first step you would do when something is not properly working. You’ll find more details here:

If the conflict test doesn’t help, kindly share with us the following and we’ll take a closer look:
- System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
- Fatal Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

In fact, I haven’t tested for conflicts yet. The updated site could possibly have one, but the other, which suffers from the same, is unlikely, as absolutely nothing has been done on it for more than a year (no updates, no content changes, nothing). This is the reason why I am looking for possible changes in the server settings.
In both sites there is no Fatal errors log for WooCommerce or common for the installation.
I will let you know if there are any conflicts. But I will be able to do this next week. So, give me sometime to do it, please. Thank you very much for your help!

Thank you very much for this follow up.
Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to take the conflict test – it’s the busiest time of the year 😀 But after further research, I saw that in the second site the cron was set to 11 PM, which could potentially be the problem. The first site’s cron was set up correctly. In both sites I launched one test product with a start and end date of the sale. And everything worked correctly, which I can’t believe haha.
I will do the conflict test as soon as possible, and at the end of December, when the sales prices expire, I will know if the problem is solved for sure. I wonder if the problem is fact onlu if there are more than ona products with sale price. But in any case, I will not leave it at that, because it’s a serious problem.One more thing, may I ask you to remove the URLs of the two sites from the reports above, as I cannot edit my comment. Thank you.

As per removing URLs on your system status please note that, generally, links will not get removed unless in extreme circumstances. You may want to report the topic to a moderator using the options on the right and seek assistance.
