# Special ping function requested

 * Hi
    I’m facing the problem that whenever I have several posts being published
   in a very short interval the WP ping function or even the Smart Update Pinger
   plugin will send multiple pings within the same minute. I would like to avoid
   this, either by controlling through the cron when to send one single ping, no
   matter how many posts have been published, or by blocking any subsequent pings
   within a specific time period, e.g. for the next 2 hours or so.
 * Is there any plugin out there that does this? I’m willing to discuss development
   costs if someone wants to give it a try.
