# Special Characters Issue

 * Hello there,
 * I’m using your plugin, for the XML needed by Skroutz (Greece). They told me that
   they have a problem with the following special characters.
 * single quote (‘)
    double quote (“) backslash ()`
 * More specifically, the line items (via the addItem command) for products with
   names that contain special characters fail to be sent. The problem is that no
   special characters are escaped. The above results in Syntax Error in the code.
 * Example product title: Φούσκα Πλαστική 1/4″ – Φ90mm – για Φλοτέρ – Oscar Plast
 * What could cause this problem?

 * I am not entirely sure what you mean but obviously you should be allowed to use
   quotes in your product names and descriptions, many other users are doing so.
   Could you send us the product feed URL you created for Skroutz so we can have
   a look at the feed itself?

 * Hi,
 * We ran your feed through Skroutz **own** feed validator:
    [https://validator.skroutz.gr/](https://validator.skroutz.gr/)
 * And it does mention something about the names not being unique and your category
   path not meeting their guidelines (you need to map it to the category path attribute),
   however it doesn’t mention anything about characters not being correct/allowed.
