Hi, good morning. I tested a php code in a separate file from wordpress that connects to the database and works fine, when I tried to include the code in a WordPress page using the shortcode, it displays an error.

I figured out the password to access to the DB has an “#” on it. This could cause the issue?

EliotNieto, yes, the “#” character might be the culprit.

The PHP code is processed with the eval() function, which can have issues with comments. It may see the “#” as the beginning of a comment line.

Suggest temporarily removing # from the password and see if you still get the same error.

As additional information, also watch for the vertical bar character (“|”) because it breaks the PHP code.
