    Howdy trevers,

That’s strange that you’re having an issue with this since this plugin isn’t doing anything specific with special characters; it’s just relying on WordPress built-in functions to render them.

We tested this using WordPress’s Special Characters icon in the WordPress editor and were able to see them in the embedded posts just fine. Here’s a temporary screenshot.

So, a few things I’d try:

    1. Make sure you’re inserting the special characters using the special characters icon in WordPress’s TinyMCE editor (the default Visual Editor), and
    2. Since it could be a plugin interfering, you may try temporarily disabling pluigns and seeing if that ‘fixes’ the issue.
    3. Finally, it’s also possible that it’s something in your theme, so you may try to switch to the default Twenty Eleven or Twenty Ten and see if you’re still having the problem.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.

    Hi Eric

    Thanks for your feedback.

You are right, the special characters work in the MCE. But do not show in the “title” of the post.

Do you have any solution to this problem?

    Thanks

    Trevor

    Yo trevers,

We’ve done another test here and aren’t having any trouble with special characters in the titles.

However, we just updated this plugin to version 1.2.1, so please try downloading and seeing if that helps.

If the issue persists, try the three troubleshooting steps I posted earlier to see if it might be your theme, or a plugin you’ve got installed.

    Cheers!

    Hi Eric

Thanks for your feedback. I noticed the font I was using, doesn’t support special characters. I schould have noticed this before.
Sorry for the false info. Thanks anyway for your help.

    Cheers
    Trevor
