 * Hello, the FAQ [https://speakout.123host.net.au/faq/](https://speakout.123host.net.au/faq/)
   says:
Can I change the submit button? -> Change the text in dashboard > SpeakOut!
   > petitions > edit > Submit button text
 * I do not find this settings in
    Installation site: [https://test.embargo.energy/blatest](https://test.embargo.energy/blatest)(
temporary testing site) which now is a mix of German and English.
 * Btw, is it a design goal of SpeakOut to have interfaces to the same petition
data from different language frontends (e.g. German and English?) at the time
or has anyone done this before? Thanks!

 * Hey, thanks for pointing this out. I can’t remember if it is just wrong, or I
moved it. I have fiexd up the FAQ now.
 * You can find that field in dashboard > SpeakOut! > settings > petition form tab
 * Unfortunately for you, the plugin is linked to the WordPress language. It can’t
be done at the moment, but I just had an idea on how it might be that I will
   explore.
 * Meanwhile, the closest you can get is to display the petition message as text
on different pages. e.g. one page is English and has the message text in English
above or below the petition, another page has the message text in German. However,
the petition form itself will be in the site language. There may be a plugin
that will do this, but I am not sure if it will work.

 * Hello 123host, thanks, this helped me to solve the problem. Fwiw, your updated
instruction does not occur in the FAQ version at [https://speakout.123host.net.au/faq/](https://speakout.123host.net.au/faq/)
   yet (still the old instructions).
 * As mentioned that you want to explore an idea (good!), to share my observations,
as for multilinguality, you do have some rudimental support as illustrated here(
temporarily) for English [1], German [2], French [3], where it e.g. correctly
transcribes “First Name” [1], “Vorname” [2], “Prenom” [3] and all these three
seem to feed into the same database, it just that features such as the Submission
button seem not to be multilang-capable.
 * At the moment, solving this in the production version by pointing from the English
page [4] to a German page (main audience is in Germany anyway) but it is not
   very elegant …

 * Oops – I hadn’t clicked `Update` I don’t think. I have done that now and the
FAQ is up to date. Thanks again.
 * As for multilingual. The issue is that I use some code that effectively says “
take this English word and look up the (German) language file, then display the
translation”. But by giving you the option to have your own text instead of “
Sign Now” there is no way for me to provide a translation.
 * As for your pages, no, it isn’t particularly elegant, but it is a solution. If
you then disable the option to “Display petition message” in `dashboard` > `SpeakOut!`
   > `petitions` > `edit` > `display options` tab, you can then add the message
as a text block in the appropriate language.
