Support » Themes and Templates » span tags for navigation and it's css

  • I’m working on a site for a client, and one of the things I’m looking to do is to have a hover image that goes outside of the navigation container. I’ve made the Navigation Item containers the same size so I can create one hover image for all of them. However, how do I get it to go outside of the navigation container? the overflow option doesn’t seem to work.

Additionally, this is something I’ve been trying to figure out for some time. so for the future, if I want to create something with say rounded corners. I can insert the tag in the menu options in WordPress so it’s like <span>Home</span> however, how do I associate that with the proper css and create the divs to go around the menu item. so I would name my images such as top-left.jpg, top-right.jpg etc.

I hope this makes sense. Can someone please help me understand this.
Thank you so much for your help in advance.

  • Any chance you have your example online where we could see it? I’ve got an idea but want to see if it would work in your current setup.
